‘Absolutely disgusting practices’ of vandalism in Carlow following the school’s playground were shared

Footage has been shared online of vandalism that took place over the weekend.

The After Schools playground was destroyed this weekend and the damage sustained is shocking.

The Facebook post from the Borris Tidy Towns reads:

“We are very saddened and disappointed that the after-school playground at the back of Borris Town Hall was vandalized this weekend.
A lot of hard work, dedication and planning has gone into creating a safe place for our children in the community to play.
We ask that you please share this message far and wide to find the person(s) responsible for doing the right thing and helping to make things right.
It is very unfair to those in the community who would have benefited greatly from this playground.”

Responding to the damage on social media, one user wrote: “I wouldn’t expect that to be terrible in a lovely village like Borris. I hope they get caught.”

Another reads: “Absolutely disgusting continue. I hope those responsible are caught!”

A third user wrote: “I hope all local businesses check their CCTV footage and pass it on to the Gardai if they have it.”

The full Facebook post can be seen below this article and anyone who can help find the vandal(s) should come forward.
