Maricopa, Pinal counties under extreme heat warning

The National Weather Service has issued an extreme heat warning for Maricopa and Pinal counties through Thursday as high temperatures of up to 113 degrees are forecast.

Weather service officials said high temperatures are dangerous and can cause life-threatening illness or even death.

County residents are advised to limit outdoor activities to morning and evening hours, stay hydrated with water and limit sun exposure with sunglasses, hats and sunscreen with SPF 30+.
