Kidnapped Catholic priest from Kaduna regains freedom

The kidnapped Catholic priest of Kaduna, Rev. Fr. Gabriel Ukeh, of St Thomas Parish, Zaman Dabo in Zango Kataf Local Government Area of ​​Kaduna State, has been released barely 24 hours after his abduction.

Director of Communications, Rev. Fr. Okafor Tochukwu made this known on Monday evening in a statement obtained by PUNCH Online in Kaduna.

Ukeh was kidnapped from the parish rectory in the early hours of Sunday.

“With gratitude to God, we announce the safe release of our brother and priest, Rev. Father Gabriel Ukeh, who was abducted from the Rectory of St. Thomas Parish, Zaman Dabo, Zango Kataf Local Government Area of ​​Kaduna State, where he is a shepherd on Sunday. June 9, 2024.

Father Gabriel was joyfully welcomed home to his parish community on Monday, June 10, 2024 at around 9 p.m.
